👀 SPOILER-FREE SUMMARY

A classic Detective Boys outing gone sideways. Conan, Haibara, and the rest of the crew join Professor Agasa for what should be a fun trip to a conveyor belt sushi restaurant, and the first half of this two-parter leans into that easygoing, slice-of-life energy the show does well. The kids banter, the food looks great, and the atmosphere is warm — until a notoriously ruthless food critic named Ryuzo Agatsuma enters the picture and ratchets up the tension among staff and patrons alike. The episode does strong work balancing its comedic beats with a slow-building sense of unease, layering in suspects and motives through seemingly casual interactions. It's a setup episode through and through, prioritizing character dynamics and atmosphere over action, ending with enough intrigue to pull you into Part 2.
