Episode Context

This standalone filler episode follows the 'A Fool's Inheritance' case and launches a two-part story centered on Kogoro Mouri's identity as a detective. It directly sets up 'The Day Kogoro Mouri Ceased Being a Detective (Part 2),' which resolves the investigation. While not connected to the overarching Black Organization storyline, it offers meaningful character exploration for one of the series' core cast members.
