Episode Context

This episode wraps up the two-part 'Old Blue Castle Investigation Case' that began in episode 136, resolving the suspense and mysteries established in Part 1. As a canon episode featuring Ai Haibara prominently, it fits into the series' ongoing character development while functioning as a self-contained detective story. The next storyline, 'The Final Screening Murder Case,' continues Conan's episodic mystery format with a fresh case.
