The episode is very absolute cinema, but the animation is not as I imagined, I think this eps is the same as manga, but there was a scene that was cut in my opinion

Hmm I don't know about the comedic scenes here with the girls, I think they tried too hard with that. The subtle challenges the other detective does with "Shinichi" was nicely written though.

Interesting episode, I wonder if the other detective has already figured Conan and Kid out. The case looks intriguing too

It could be because this is still part 1 and things are still building up, but I wasn't as engaged as I thought I would be. Hopefully the next one picks up

Kid VS Hakuba part one, bet Crunchyroll's already cooking up some 'culturalization' in the subs instead of a faithful translation. If it ain't manga accurate, it's gonna be mid 🙄

Kid's moves are slick but where's the armor plating and beam weaponry? Not enough mobile suit tactics for my taste, makes it kinda mid 😴

This 'Case Closed' Japanimation thing with the tiny detective and the big eyed kids was certainly... something, I suppose? They really do shout a lot in these cartoons. - Bob

Even with the VA swap, the production team clearly nailed this fan-favorite canon arc; expect big numbers for the committee. 📈
