Episode Context

This episode follows the standalone case 'Beyond the Curtain' and continues a stretch of self-contained mysteries with no direct connection to the show's larger narrative threads. It serves as a lighthearted interlude before the series shifts into the significantly more plot-relevant 'Police Academy Arc,' beginning with the Matsuda Jinpei storyline, which digs into key character backstories. Viewers can treat this as an optional but enjoyable pit stop before heavier material ahead.
