Synopsis
A killer is working their way through victims whose names contain numbers: ace, two, three, like a countdown, and every single victim is connected to bumbling private detective Kogorou Mouri. You also get more of Kogorou's backstory than the TV series usually offers, which makes him feel like an actual character rather than just comic relief. The tone stays true to the series: there's genuine tension alongside moments that are quietly funny without breaking the mood. If you've seen Detective Conan: The Time Bombed Skyscraper and want more of that movie-scale mystery energy, this delivers. If you liked Detective Conan: The Last Wizard of the Century for how it built suspense around a central gimmick, same idea here. It's a single movie, so the commitment is low and the mystery wraps cleanly. Good entry point even if you're not deep into the main series.

It was very suspenseful throughout. I really liked the intense feeling of them trying to find the suspect, especially with all the red herrings and clues. The suspect's motivation was pretty dumb though, ngl.
This is such a great movie and definitely an upgrade from the first one. The plot was really interesting, and the way each victim had connections to the main characters added so many layers to each incident. I also really enjoyed how the mystery slowly unfolded, giving each reveal more weight and making me want to piece everything together along with the characters. The way everything came together toward the end was really satisfying and made the movie a lot more enjoyable.
always funny in how every early movie, conan gotta do something and did "i did it back when i was a child" lol the movie actually felt a little short, some thing is easy to guess as usual with conan movies.
If you're an avid reader of Conan's manga (and the anime as well), you will sense the complicated dynamics of the Mouri's family. I love this movies since it captures that nuance perfectly without losing the detective-side of Conan and the whole police squad. Also, this is quite a standalone movie that can be enjoyed even if you're not a big fan of Detective Conan
