Episode Context

Sitting at the exact midpoint of the 52-episode run, Episode 28 closes out the national tournament arc that defined the first half of the series following Nankatsu SC's hard-fought triumph. It functions as a pivotal bridge episode, processing the aftermath of victory while establishing new trajectories for Tsubasa and his rivals as they scatter toward individual futures. Everything that follows, new arcs, new opponents, higher stakes, launches from the emotional groundwork laid here.
