Finally, we get to the much-needed explanations. I'm glad to see they're not revealing everything at once, but rather unfolding the clues gradually. In this episode, we focus a bit more on Mifue, who, although aware that her world is distorted, is more concerned with finding her mother. I really like how the animation manages to make an innocent and adorable tea party feel unsettling and disturbing. The revelation about how the world they're in works is revealed alongside Mifue's trauma, and it works wonderfully. It's not common to see anime explain the logic within the story without relying on direct dialogue between the characters. If you have an eating disorder, this episode might be a bit heavy for you.
