Episode Context

Bucchigiri?! shifts gears hard with Episode 10, dropping much of its comedic safety net in favor of psychological tension and genuine unease. The focus lands squarely on Matakara, whose personality fractures under supernatural pressure, creating a version of him that feels alien to everyone around him, especially Arajin. Expect a heavier, more suspenseful atmosphere than the show typically delivers, with confrontations that carry real emotional weight rather than punchlines. The supernatural elements that once played for laughs now fuel manipulation and internal conflict, giving the episode a sharper edge. Action sequences hit differently here, they're driven by desperation rather than spectacle. MAPPA leans into the tonal contrast, making this feel like a distinct turning point where the stakes finally demand to be taken seriously. The almond tofu in the title? Trust the absurdity.
