Episode Context

MAPPA throws viewers headfirst into a wild premiere that refuses to sit still. Bucchigiri?! opens with transfer student Arajin Tomoshibi wanting nothing more than a quiet school life, a wish the show has zero intention of granting. Expect explosive energy from the jump: rival gang tensions between Minato Kai and Siguma Squad crackle alongside genuinely bizarre supernatural elements involving a djinn named Senya. The comedy hits hard and fast, leaning into absurdist humor rather than subtle wit. Childhood friend Matakara and the magnetic Mahoro Jin round out early introductions that feel more chaotic than conventional. MAPPA's animation flexes immediately with vibrant, kinetic sequences that match the show's unhinged personality. This is a premiere designed to overwhelm in the best way, loud, colorful, and completely committed to its own brand of delinquent-meets-mystical madness.
