the animation is doing a really good job at building the tension this episode. however, the main character's thoughts and actions are genuinely so off-putting and disgusting to me.

the sudden arrival of komodo dragons feels like a weird complication that breaks the established ecological realism of the island setting. regardless, the tension-building sequences remain relatively effective.
