This episode really nails the tension of survival while showing how hard trust can be in such a brutal situation. Ryouta’s choices feel meaningful, and the emotional uncertainty keeps things gripping.

it is starting to get a little bit more interesting now that the buildup is being explained. being trapped on an isolated island with no resources is a scary premise, even if the animation is lacking. i still don't like the main character though.

the exposition clarifying the kidnapping and the transition to a physical, isolated island setting grounds the narrative. while the battle royale concept feels highly derivative by modern standards, the gaslighting elements provide some intrigue.
