The episode started out vibrant then suddenly shifts to a darker tone. The pacing tanks a bit after the sports competition but I think it is a necessary change to really feel the bleak atmosphere of the characters have. Really excited for when the confrontation starts.

The pacing picks up here. the animation during his internal monologue is expressive. you can see him starting to enjoy the process, not just the results. growth feels earned. 🎮

Tomozaki is kind of a genius if you ask me. The way his plan came together the way it did. Some mind games aside, we got some baseball this episode too. This show has sports competition so I'm not surprised that's part of it this season.
