Episode Context

Episode 139 sits in a pocket of filler between the lighthearted 'Hiashi's Birthday' episode and the canon 'Mujina Gang' arc that kicks off at episode 141, making it one of the last breathers before the story picks up significant momentum. Coming off a family comedy beat, this episode pivots hard into darker, character-focused territory with Team 40. For viewers marathoning toward the next major arc, this is a purely optional stop that expands the world but doesn't move the central narrative forward.
