Fresh out of her training as a new recruit in the Federal Space Army Security Police, Kate Curtis wants to prove herself more than anything. Her first case drops her onto Doune, a scorching desert planet where young women have been going missing and turning up as assault victims. She goes in undercover, confident she can handle whatever comes her way — and that confidence is immediately put to the test in ways she didn't anticipate. This is a 2-episode OVA from 1994, produced by J.C.Staff, and it leans hard into its hentai label, so go in with eyes open on that front. The sci-fi framing is genuine though — there's a real pulpy space-cop energy here, with alien planets, interstellar law enforcement, and a universe that feels like it has actual lore behind it, even if the explicit content is front and center. The character design by Ryouichi Ooki gives it a distinct late-80s-into-early-90s aesthetic that fans of that era tend to appreciate.
