I didn't mind the military stuff but the pacing was way off. Having the robots chat and run around instead of diving straight into the fight totally ruined the tone and tension for me.

Who would've thought that specific event can happen. At least they could've at least let that "thing" happen between them. If only it were mutual. Well I feel bad for all of them, which is probably the goal and purpose of the whole anime.

Episode Context

At the one-quarter mark of a 24-episode series, episode six arrives after the show has introduced its core rules and begun cycling through its ensemble cast with increasing weight. Each episode in Bokurano tends to center a different character, and 'Lust' continues that structure while deepening the season's overarching mood of dread and inevitability. What this episode establishes tonally and thematically feeds directly into the escalating stakes of the episodes ahead.
