Synopsis
A girl named Maple, who has never once touched a video game in her life, started playing an MMORPG and dumped every single stat point into defense. The result? She's basically an unkillable tank who accidentally stumbles into the most broken skill combinations the game has ever seen. Season 1 established her as the adorable nightmare that makes developers regret their design choices, and this second season picks up right where it left off. Maple Tree, her small guild of friends, now has a reputation, and they're diving into newly unlocked floors of NewWorld Online to find even more absurd abilities. Maple and her best friend Sally, who's actually skilled at games, unlike Maple, lead the charge, and watching their contrasting playstyles bounce off each other never gets old. The whole thing runs 12 episodes and keeps the same cozy, low-stakes energy. Nobody's trapped in the game, there's no real villain to defeat. It's just a group of friends having fun, discovering weird mechanics, and Maple accidentally becoming more terrifying with each episode. The comedy comes from how genuinely oblivious she is about breaking the game's balance. If you liked the vibe of Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear or the overpowered protagonist angle of Cautious Hero but want something gentler and more friendship-focused, this fits right in. You can really feel the studio putting more focus into this episode. The fight scenes and animation were top-notch.
Nothing much happened other than guilds teaming up together. Safe to skip.
Apparently, Team Maple changed the game from survival to tower defense lol. Must watch.
The masters start fighting alongside their pets, showing promise for the upcoming battles. Let them cook!
Light and relaxing episode with nice scenery. Maple’s new attack combo is insane. I love the surprise feature of the pets. Must watch!
Finally, some screen time for the supporting characters getting their monsters. Maple’s new weapon is weird lol. I’m hyped to see how they all fight alongside their tamed monsters.
Overall, the fight animations during the monster taming scenes were pretty nice, except for Maple’s parts with the weird 3D-looking tentacles. Not much story progress this episode though.
Sally + Maple are the best duo ever. The way they clear the zombie stage is so funny lol. Lots of fight scenes with sick animations, especially on the 10th floor. Must watch!
Maple is too OP, and the admins are having a hard time controlling her lol. The “Library” monster skill is pretty creative imo.
Wholesome and funny moments with Maple and friends, especially how she wanted to help Sally overcome her weakness. Lots of action this episode too. Pretty chill and fun watch if you just want a light break.
Good start for season 2. Lots of fun fight scenes and it’s nice seeing everyone together again. Glad Maple is still clumsy lol. The Christmas event really gave me old MMORPG vibes.
Wonderful teamwork by the players to take down the final boss, and hats off to the studio for the sick animation scenes. Can't wait for Season 3!
Me gustó el ver a todos los personajes vs un jefe en común como todo buen MMO, pero sobre todo Maple: aquí usa todo su arsenal y que el golpe final sea con la skill mas característica de ella (y a la vez la menos usada últimamente) le da ese toque especial. Buen anime & Maple OP.
Que se haya decidido formar grupos con gente de otros gremios nos permite ver mas y variadas interacciones, y es una buena excusa para mostrar las skills de rivales desde la perspectiva aliada, con un buen ritmo y un final que nos deja expectativas de cara al ultimo episodio.
El como se desenvuelven los personajes del gremio formando equipo con otros, aunque algunos equipos eran muy predecibles, otros fueron inesperados, suficiente para mantener la atención. Ya cerca del final la convivencia mezclada de grupos te da sensación de un MMO de verdad.
Empieza el evento! A lo largo del episodio los del grupo hacen gala de sus mas recientes skills adquiridas en práctica. Aunque personalmente se siente corto.
Of all the skills she can use to defeat Code Alpha. Only 1 skills that can end it, it is the 1st skill she got when she first entered the game. Can you imagine how OP that skill was that dev had to nerf it but still OP
Group got split into individual, moment of hype is coming, devs is crying, and are excited to release the final monster. Maple is struggle a bit but can make it. Plot armor, of course!
Nightmare mode enabled, devs is getting serious this time! Too many OP moments and unbalance. No fireworks Maple you just hurt yourself LMAO
