BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense.
Oshimeter
Synopsis
In virtually every MMO ever made, players typically min-max their damage or speed stats. Maple, a total gaming newbie, dumps every single stat point into defense because she doesn't want to feel pain. That's it. That's her entire strategy. And somehow, this accidentally turns her into one of the most broken players in the game. BOFURI follows Kaede Honjou, a high school student who gets talked into playing the VRMMO 'New World Online' by her friend Risa. With zero game knowledge, Maple builds a character that can barely move and hits like a wet napkin, but literally nothing can damage her. The kicker is that her clueless approach to the game keeps triggering absurd skill combinations the developers never anticipated, giving her abilities that make veteran players lose their minds. This 12-episode TV series from SILVER LINK. is genuinely one of the most relaxing isekai-adjacent shows you can watch. There are no real stakes, no trauma, no betrayals: just a sweet girl accidentally breaking a video game while making friends. The comedy comes from how the game's admins keep trying to nerf her and failing. If you liked the game-world setting of Sword Art Online or Log Horizon but want something with zero stress and maximum charm, this is your show. Think of it as Overlord but the overpowered protagonist is a cheerful girl who has no idea she's overpowered. It's comfort food anime, and sometimes that's exactly what you need.

Episode 12 of Bofuri feels like a huge cliffhanger because it ends right when the stakes and excitement peak. The episode perfectly captures the chaotic fun that makes the series enjoyable while also teasing even bigger possibilities for Maple and her guild moving forward. Despite all the overpowered moments, the charm of the show still comes from the friendships, teamwork, and unpredictable strategies that keep every battle entertaining. The ending leaves you wanting to immediately start the next season just to see how much more broken Maple can become.
The entirety is lots of fun, even fighting with a strong guild Maple kept her composure. It just makes me excited to watch the next season.
Finally, Maple Tree is on the edge facing a strong guild. Not even Sally predicted the attack. It kept me wondering what would Maple do. But the episode is all out fun :)
Now that the main weapon unleashed, what chaos would it be? I still can't see Maple doing a srious fight. Sally is a brilliant strategist always planning ahead. How far can guild Maple Tree go, let us all find out. :)
Its the 1st time to see all guild members working together for their goal. As always, Maple does what she does best, create chaos and Sally making sure that each and everyone shines.
When you thought that Maple is already at her peak, just like what kanade said watching Maple never gets old ahahaha.. Everyone wonders how a goof like Maple became strong. I really wanna try this in an actual game.
Looks like there is no stopping guild Maple Tree, with almost everyone having powerups and skill boost. Maple Tree will be a threat to other guilds, but in a good way.. Ahahahaha
As the guild having member, each member have something unique to offer the guild. It's like rag tag guild full of underdogs. And that what makes them fun. :)
Just like what Maple said, it was a blast! The episode even made the Maple-Sally even more notorious.
Kanade is definitely my favorite character so far. She has such an interesting power and overall a really well-written character in my opinion. I really enjoyed this event too, it's actually really fun to watch
Honestly Sally's reaction to Maple every time she got a new skill is valid. Because what do you mean you were gone for a day and got a whole mecha skill?? It's just hilarious to think someone of that age is crazy overpowered than some adults.
The outfits are cute but I like Kanade's outfit the most. It suits her well and her outfit design is better than the rest. Maple is especially adorable this episode though, but Syrup takes the crown this episode. The boss design of this episode is definitely the most interesting by far too.
I love the bond between the guild members. They support each other and are just nice towards one another. They're really sweet and I really enjoy these types of friendships.
I'm so happy for Maple to have a group of friends that she can trust and depend on! It's not everyday you'll see friendships like these without betrayal and dark intents. A healthy friend group can be just as interesting as a friend group who are constantly faced with problems- mental or physical, in my opinion.
Maple and Sally met two new characters in this episode, and I really like their characters so far. This episode just goes to show how sweet and kind Maple is while Sally is definitely more on guard but cherish Maple's decision nonetheless. Their friendship is really cute
Out of all fight scenes so far, this episode was by far the best one. The creatures are really adorable too and Maple definitely has some sort of plot armor loll
I personally enjoy Sally character a lot. I'm glad there isn't any envy in the friendship and Sally is a genuine friend to her. Not to mention, both of the spots that Sally showed her are absolutely gorgeous! The animation definitely improved in this one.
I adore the friendship between Maple and Sally! They're really cute and really look after each other a lot. The Battle Royale event was a really fun watch, it has a hint of comedy which I appreciate.
First episode in and I'm already invested! The concept is interesting and the animation and voice acting are well-done! Kaede reminds me of Laios from Dungeon Meshi in a good way, she's definitely a fun and enjoyable character
Genial capítulo en su inicio y en su final, en el medio las cosas se pusieron algo locas y casi sin sentido, pero teniendo en cuenta quien es la protagonista solo puedes disfrutar de esos momentos. Buen cierre de temporada en general.
