Episode Context

Coming off the resolution of Shiemi's arc in episode 4, episode 5 pivots from external supernatural conflicts to the internal rivalries simmering within the Exorcist Cram School, establishing Bon as a significant foil for Rin. This is an early-season investment episode, one-fifth into the run, focused on building the interpersonal foundation that later arcs will test under pressure. It directly sets up the ensemble dynamics explored in 'The Phantom Chef' and beyond.
