Episode Context

Directly following 'Into the Light,' where the severity of Karman's condition with the Thorn became undeniable, this episode forces the cast to confront what they're willing to sacrifice for each other, decisions that reshape group dynamics heading into the final stretch. It serves as a critical emotional pivot point with only five episodes remaining, transitioning into 'May Tomorrow Be a Clear Day,' which broadens the scope back toward Diva's threat and the strategic endgame. This is the calm before the storm, laying the character groundwork that the finale will cash in on.
