📖 SYNOPSIS
"Blood and Heart" presents the life of Megumi Sunahara, a Japanese individual who becomes a soldier in the Japanese People’s Liberation Army. Born in Kyushu, Japan, in 1933, Megumi moved to Northeast China with his family as a child. Following Japan's defeat in World War II, he was unable to return home and found himself working as a cattle herder in Liaoning. In 1948, under the alias "Zhang Rongqing," Megumi joined the People’s Liberation Army. The anime depicts his involvement in significant battles, including Liaoshen and Pingjin, highlighting his dedication to the proletarian revolution and offering a glimpse into the history of a lesser-known group within the army. The story focuses on his unique journey and perspective.
