It truly hit me, though, seeing the profound desolation in Ichigo's eyes as he grappled with being the only soul who remembered her, like he was left to bear this crushing, lonely secret all by himself.

That bizarre red tornado genuinely made me blink a couple times; it just looked so surprisingly cheap compared to everything else. I was honestly expecting a bit more polish, especially after the intense visual feast we got from the Soul Society arc, and it definitely pulled me out of the moment.
