Episode Context

Positioned deep in the Reigai filler arc, episode 320 follows the critical reveal that imposter Soul Reapers have been operating in the previous episodes, and now the authentic Gotei 13 must regroup and plan their counterattack. This is a transitional setup episode that bridges the initial shock of the Reigai threat with the combat-heavy episodes ahead, specifically Ikkaku's one-on-one clash with his Reigai double in the next installment. As a filler episode with no source material basis, it's skippable for manga purists but serves as connective tissue for those following the anime-original storyline.
