EPISODE REVIEWS

The scene with Tosen and Komamura was so sad, especially when Hisagi delivered that final blow to save his former captain from himself.

Sakanade is such a weird ability and the way it messes with the viewer and the opponent is one of the coolest things in the show

Episode Context

Sitting deep in the Fake Karakura Town battle, episode 291 follows a dramatic power shift in the previous episode and escalates the direct confrontation with Aizen as the remaining fighters commit to stopping him. Hirako stepping forward with his Shikai represents a critical moment for the Visored's long-simmering conflict with Aizen. This episode directly sets the stage for episode 292, 'All Out War! Aizen vs. Shinigami,' where the battle reaches its most desperate phase yet.
