My expectations for a filler episode were totally flipped, I wasn't prepared for how much Haineko's sincere search for purpose would resonate with me, only to then see Narunosuke completely lose himself. It just felt so deeply tragic watching his sanity slip away, and I was left aching for them to somehow find even a moment of peace after such a dramatic struggle.
