EPISODE REVIEWS

I am genuinely surprised at how lazy Starrk is acting against Shunsui since he is supposed to be the strongest Espada and they are basically just standing around talking

Episode Context

Coming off the successful defense of the four pillars that protect Karakura Town, Episode 221 shifts gears from defensive positioning into aggressive engagement, launching the individual Soul Reaper vs. Fracción matchups that will define the next stretch of episodes. This is the opening salvo of the full-scale Fake Karakura Town battle, one of the longest and most consequential arcs in Bleach's 366-episode run. It establishes the combat pairings and power dynamics that subsequent episodes will explore in greater depth.
