I actually liked seeing Kira get some shine and his fight with Kibune was way more intense than that thirty second teaser in the title

You see that title and expect a massive captain showdown but then Hitsugaya and Amagai barely clash for half a minute and it is over

Episode Context

Episode 185 sits deep in the anime-original Amagai arc, directly following revelations about Kibune's true nature that reframed the arc's internal conflicts. This installment escalates those tensions into full-blown combat between Soul Society's own ranks, functioning as a critical bridge toward Episode 186's larger mobilization against the Kasumiōji clan. As a filler arc episode, it has no bearing on the manga storyline but serves as a climactic turning point within its own self-contained narrative.
