Bleach Episode 15: Kon's Great Plan

Rukia Kuchiki lies awake, haunted by Ichigo Kurosaki's recent display of power. She knows such an event cannot go unnoticed by Soul Society. Later, she is already dressed and distant when Ichigo attempts to wake her for school, refusing his company and leaping from the window without a word. Kon awakens to a fresh indignity: a frilly pink baby dress and bonnet, courtesy of Yuzu Kurosaki. Ichigo finds his plight uproarious, mocking his 'cute' new ensemble. Outraged, Kon declares his immediate departure, vowing to find a home where his noble soul is truly appreciated. Ichigo's laughter follows him, unmoved by the drama.

Wandering Karakura Town, Kon devises a new plan for adoption, posing as a lost toy. He spots Chizuru Honsho and Michiru Koshigaya, hoping they will be his saviors. They initially find him adorable, but their delight turns to terror when Kon accidentally speaks, revealing his true, unnerving nature. The girls scream and cast him aside, forcing him to flee once more.

Orihime Inoue catches Rukia on the way to school, excitedly discussing summer fireworks and group plans. Rukia smiles gently, her answer vague, a quiet sadness in her eyes. Later, Rukia stands alone at the classroom window, watching the other students with a profound sense of longing. She knows she is a ghost among them, her peaceful days fleeting.

A sleek black cat, Yoruichi Shihouin, moves with unnatural speed across high suspension cables, observing Karakura Town below. It is a creature of focus and intent. Inside the Urahara Shop, Kisuke Urahara greets the cat with surprising formality, and Yoruichi returns his gaze with knowing intensity. During girls' physical education, Kon plots to fall into Orihime's arms from a tree. Later, he charges towards Ichigo and Rukia Kuchiki outside the school gates, sobbing loudly. He clings to Ichigo's leg, declaring his error and his true belonging, prompting a rare, genuine moment of amusement from them both.

Rukia Kuchiki remains in the classroom long after everyone has left, the fading light casting long shadows. Her movements are slow and deliberate as she packs her bag, her gaze lingering on Ichigo Kurosaki's empty desk. The heavy silence of the empty room feels like a final farewell, a silent acknowledgment of the life she has come to cherish but must now leave behind.

Uryu Ishida offers to repair Kon's torn body, leading Ichigo Kurosaki and Rukia Kuchiki to the handicraft club room. With Quincy precision, Uryu performs a high-speed sewing 'operation,' revealing a horrifying 'upgrade': Kon is now a frilly, blonde-curled, deranged magical girl mascot. Uryu beams with pride, while Kon screams in utter despair at his new, even more embarrassing form. Ichigo and Rukia can only stare in disbelief.

Later that night, Ichigo Kurosaki returns home to find Rukia Kuchiki gone, replaced by a simple note thanking him and acknowledging her burden. Her solitary walk through the dark streets is grim, her determination set. Above her, the sky tears open, and two powerful figures descend: Byakuya Kuchiki and Renji Abarai. Renji confidently introduces himself as the Lieutenant of the 6th Division, brandishing his blade with a menacing grin, ready for the conflict ahead.
