Aizen is actually insane for wanting to sacrifice a hundred thousand people in Karakura just for a key to reach the soul king

Episode Context

Coming directly off the explosive inner Hollow clash in Episode 124, this episode pivots from Ichigo's personal struggle to the macro-level threat Aizen poses, effectively connecting the character-driven and plot-driven threads of the series. It functions as a critical bridge, raising the overarching stakes before the narrative shifts focus to the Quincy family dynamics between Uryū and Ryūken Ishida in Episode 126. Positioned roughly a third of the way through Bleach's full 366-episode run, this is a turning point where individual battles start feeding directly into the larger war to come.
