The transition into these separate training arcs for the whole group feels like the show is finally preparing for a massive war and the atmosphere is getting heavy

Episode Context

Coming directly off the explosive Grimmjow confrontation in Episode 121, where Ichigo's inner Hollow dangerously surfaced mid-battle, Episode 122 pivots from crisis to seeking solutions, marking Ichigo's first real engagement with the Vizards. This is a critical bridge episode that closes the immediate fallout of that fight and lays the essential groundwork for the Hollowfication training arc that begins in earnest with Episode 123.
