Ikkaku really went through all that just to keep his Bankai hidden so he could stay under Kenpachi's command, and honestly, that kind of loyalty makes me question if it's admirable or just a bit foolish. I guess I'm surprised by how deep his dedication runs, but it totally tracks with his whole vibe.

My jaw literally dropped when Ikkaku finally used his bankai to finish off Edrad because I never expected a non captain to have that power

It felt like Ryumon Hozukimaru was taking a lot of damage during that finish, which makes you wonder if it can even be fixed properly
