Episode Context

Episode 5 turned toward Yang Guang's ambitions and the advance of Shilang Zhi's revolution while the group crossed paths with a mysterious blacksmith. Episode 6 pulls back to the escort journey itself, carrying the group to Yumen Gate and setting up the repercussions of attempting entry into more heavily guarded territory. The season's political threads and the travelers' road converge at the checkpoint, leaving the journey's next stage defined by the reach of the court.
