The first episode was great! It wasn't your typical medical story focused solely on surgeries. It had a mystery and a unique concept that immediately got me interested in the story.

Episode Context

As the series premiere, this episode carries the full burden of introduction, establishing Black Jack's renegade identity, his dynamic with Pinoko, and the anthology-style case structure that defines the season. There is no prior episode to draw from; everything begins here. What it sets up is a template: each subsequent episode will likely bring a new medical enigma layered with moral stakes, anchored by the same central pair.
