Episode Context

Episodes one through eight handled world-building, the magic knight entrance exam, and Asta and Noelle's rocky introduction to the Black Bulls, this is where that setup pays its first dividend. 'Beasts' marks the squad's first field mission, a critical pivot from initiation to action that tests whether these characters can function under pressure. It establishes the mission-based structure that drives much of what follows, setting the stage for increasingly dangerous assignments and deeper character development across the series.
