It is crazy how they just dropped Licht into the mix and he immediately feels on another level compared to the other villains, especially with how easily he handled Gauche. The flashback showing Gauche having his childhood ripped away by those greedy nobles was actually really depressing and it makes that weird overprotectiveness for Marie make sense in a sad way
