Xiaoming's Recovery
Wang Xiaoming opens his eyes in a medical ward, a familiar place for a combatant pushing mental limits. A pink-haired nurse, almost playfully, warns him of the dangers of spiritual collapse, reminding him that the mind can break even if the body does not. Xiaoming notes his advancement to the third stage of the competition. The scene sets the stakes for the mental battles to come.
The Illusory Fog
Xiaoming returns to the floating fields, immediately sensing a thick, glowing green mist designed to induce hallucinations. He covers his nose and mouth, aware of the psychological poison. High above, the current rank-1 student watches, his smug grin revealing his confidence that this illusory fog will strip Xiaoming of his resolve. Then, Xiaoming is suddenly in a grand mansion, maids bowing, calling him 'Young Master,' offering him praise and luxury, a mental trap for complacency.
A Sketchy Defense
Xiaoming recognizes the mansion as a trap. He realizes he must sever the spiritual link to the caster. He finds a drawing desk within the illusion and decides to use his manga skills, believing a shocking image will create a psychic backlash. As he draws with frantic energy, a psychic wave of embarrassment hits the Illusionist Rank 1. The mansion crumbles as the Illusionist clutches his head, his nose bleeding from the intensity of Xiaoming's 'filthy' mental image of muscular men.
The Puppet Master's Last Stand
Other students, still under the illusionist's control, charge Xiaoming with glowing red eyes, their movements unnatural. He dodges their strikes, unwilling to use lethal force on fellow students. The Illusionist Rank 1 recovers, abandoning trickery for brute force, summoning a swarm of black, bat-like spirits to drain Xiaoming's energy. As the bats close in, Xiaoming's hand glows with red and gold light, and his small white cat companion transforms into a massive, winged white tiger spirit. The Stupid Tiger roars, disintegrating bats with its sound waves, before unleashing a massive energy blast that incinerates the remaining bat spirits and knocks the Illusionist out of the arena.
Baijie's Obsession and Rescue
On a distant island, Baijie watches the explosion with a mixture of admiration and worry, speaking of Xiaoming's growing power and her 'Wang-dage.' Her eyes glow faintly pink, hinting at an unhealthy obsession. Xiaoming lands on her island, his tiger shrinking to its small form, complaining of the mental exhaustion. He realizes Baijie is still partially trapped in a secondary illusion layer. To snap her out of it, he has the Stupid Tiger fly into her face, creating a comedic 'kiss' that breaks her trance.
The Bridge Battle Begins
The scoreboard updates, showing the Red Team's massive lead thanks to Xiaoming. He walks through the infirmary, checking on Baijie, then prepares for the final round. His next match takes place on a suspension bridge over a sea of clouds, facing Han Yihan, a tall man with long red hair and a broadsword. Han Yihan mocks Xiaoming's bald head and small cat. At the signal, Xiaoming moves impossibly fast, landing a single, concentrated punch that sends Han Yihan flying into a rock face, eliminating him instantly.
Aerial Combat and Victory
Two more Blue Team members, a beast tamer with a purple-scaled creature and a girl with a fire-hawk spirit, attack in tandem. Xiaoming and the Stupid Tiger dodge their attacks with ease, his movements like a dance. The girl, frustrated, pours more energy into her bird, transforming it into a phoenix and engulfing the bridge in flames. Xiaoming creates a spiritual barrier, then takes flight on his enlarged Stupid Tiger, clashing with the phoenix in mid-air. He commands the Stupid Tiger to unleash a 'Lightning Tornado,' which sucks in the fire bird and its master, slamming them into the islands below, snapping the bridge.
The Final Four Are Chosen
As the dust settles, Qin Xiaoxiao, carrying her goldfish, cheers for Xiaoming's victory, calling him her 'best big brother.' The scene shifts to Ye Xiao, calm and dominant in the 'City Ruins,' and Li Goudan, mysterious and cold in the 'Stone Forest Desert,' both securing top spots. Xiaoming's victory places him fourth. The top four gather, but Gong Chenghong withdraws, replaced by a delighted Qin Xiaoxiao. They line up for a photograph, aware of the finality of the contest, and are informed the final round will be in a newly constructed mirror world.
Into the Mirror Restricted Area
Separated from the others, Xiaoming enters a forbidden zone, the 'Mirror Restricted Area.' He and the Stupid Tiger walk through a star-filled void leading to a mysterious, floating temple. He senses a powerful, ancient spiritual presence, far more dangerous than anything in the exams. Despite the ominous warning signs, his curiosity drives him to push open the grand doors of the sanctuary.
Shaoqing, The Burden Bearer
Inside the temple, Xiaoming finds Shaoqing, a young boy with long, ragged hair, sitting in a glowing seal, hands bleeding, eyes hollow. Shaoqing warns Xiaoming to leave, guarding something that should never see the light. The Stupid Tiger bristles at the malevolent energy radiating from the glowing swords floating around Shaoqing. Xiaoming approaches, asking who hurt him. Shaoqing mutters that this is the price for keeping his 'family' safe, revealing he is the keeper of the 'Demon Weapons,' artifacts that drain life and drive wielders mad. He lashes out with purple energy when Xiaoming tries to help, claiming these weapons are his only family.
Shaoqing's Isolation and the First Wound
Shaoqing explains the history of the Ten Demon Weapons, wielded by the demon god Chiyou, now craving blood and spiritual essence. He believes himself a living seal, martyring himself. His blood flows into the glowing seal, fueling the weapons. Xiaoming shouts, pleading for another way, reaching out a hand. Shaoqing's expression turns from sorrow to anger, insisting Xiaoming cannot understand his burden. A flashback shows a young Shaoqing bullied, called a 'monster child,' finding solace and a strange beckoning presence in a hidden cave. He leads villagers there, but a multi-headed crocodile monster attacks. The villagers abandon him, leaving him alone to face the beast.
The Father's Experiment and a Monster's Birth
Just as the monster strikes, a Demon Weapon rises from the glowing seal, effortlessly slaughtering the creature and filling the cave with dark energy. Young Shaoqing touches the blade, feeling power and protection, making a blood contract that seals his fate. He returns to the village, but the people are terrified, locking themselves away. He realizes the weapon that saved him has also alienated him. Another flashback shows Shaoqing strapped to a metal table in a dark lab, his father, a cold man, overseeing painful experiments. His father calls him 'Experiment 276,' a 'valuable sample' to be perfected through suffering. The experiment escalates, energy surging, laboratory equipment melting. The demonic energy explodes, leveling the lab. Shaoqing stands in the ruins, demon blades in hand, a demonic aura swirling around him, looking at his father with pure hatred.
The Madness Unveiled
Shaoqing walks away from the destroyed lab, leaving his father in the debris, realizing he is now a monster, unable to return to normal life. He wanders for years, hiding, protected by the weapons that also destroy him, eventually finding eternal isolation in the Mirror Zone. Back in the present, Shaoqing looks at Xiaoming with a wild, ecstatic grin, his madness fully unveiled. He laughs hysterically, claiming Xiaoming can share his burden and be his 'Master.' Xiaoming looks on with profound pity, seeing a mind completely fractured by torment. The demon blades spin faster, creating a vortex, threatening to pull Xiaoming into the seal as Shaoqing reaches out, his eyes glowing with an unholy light.
