Kyoto always delivers in it's animation and it's unpredictable openings as we see the main lead gets stabbed first thing. Great world building as you can pretty much understand the animes setting through little details and interactions. A banger op and great foreshadowing.

WTH?? Starting an anime with a straight-up stabbing?? 😭 Had me hooked instantly. Didn’t fully get the terms at first, but the visuals carried enough to piece things together. It really feels like a slowburn tho… might take time, but I’m intrigued 👀

Mirai stabbing Akihito within the first five minutes is such a chaotic way to start a show lol. The animation on that blood sword is literally gorgeous, KyoAni really popped off. Also, Aki being a meganest is so weirdly specific, I love it.
