Beyblade X Episode 122: Episode 122

A mysterious man, cloaked and masked, watches the unfolding events of X City from a shadowy lair. He comments on the characters and their battles, revealing a deep, almost omniscient understanding of their paths. His smile is chilling as he speaks of the future already being decided, even laughing maniacally at the prospect. He then adjusts his fedora, green eyes glowing, confident in his machinations, before vanishing, leaving only an 'X' symbol.

Bird, exhausted and frustrated, drags himself up a dark stairwell, muttering about a broken elevator. He is startled by Multi's sharp command and Hajime's apologetic presence, urging him forward. Multi insists X needs him, igniting a spark of renewed determination in Bird.

While Bird struggles with stairs, Chrom walks silently down a long, brightly lit corridor of elevators. He steps into one, bathed in an almost ethereal glow, his expression determined and focused. The doors close, emphasizing his singular, unassisted journey to the top.

X sits alone in the stadium, staring up at the starry night sky, a quiet sadness about him as he whistles a tune. The mysterious man appears, his fanged smile unsettling, stating X only thinks of Ryugu Chrom. He gazes at the night sky, his eye changing, seemingly annoyed by X's simple thoughts on the impending battle.

The mysterious man, identified now more clearly as working for Cross Zero, is suddenly confronted by Giga. Giga reveals the truth, the man was merely a pawn, and Bahamut Blitz is Cross Zero's true Bey. Shock and terror quickly replace the man's smug confidence as Giga's masked figures seize him, dragging him away for exploiting the underworld. Chrom, observing the scene, smiles as the deceit unravels.

Exhausted but relieved, Bird, Multi, and Hajime finally reach the stadium, finding Chrom looking content. Bird proudly presents Chrom with a new Beyblade, Dran Strike, a gesture of friendship and trust. Chrom, initially unimpressed, then recalls his past challenge to "surpass the rules of this world," a smile gracing his face as he looks at his team.

X and Chrom face each other, determination and excitement etched on their faces, ready to launch. Their Beyblades, Dran Sword and Meteo Dragon, clash immediately, filling the stadium with light and energy. They both execute Extreme Dashes, a flurry of sparks and trails, as Bird, Multi, and Hajime watch in awe. The intensity builds with every impact.

The fierce exchange of blows continues, Beyblades racing along the Extreme Line. Suddenly, both X's and Chrom's Beyblades burst apart simultaneously, a shocking, unexpected outcome. Bird, Multi, and Hajime are left stunned, processing the unprecedented double burst finish.

Amidst the shock, X holds up his Beyblade, Dran Sword, which remains miraculously unbroken. Chrom watches him, a new understanding dawning in his eyes, accepting this unexpected twist. X then offers, with a mischievous smile, to continue battling with other Beyblades, and Chrom, amused, agrees.

With X's first Beyblade proving unbroken, the rivals immediately launch into another round. X presents Dran Brave, Chrom counters with Impact Drake. The Beyblades clash, burst, and are replaced by Dran Dagger and Cobalt Drake, the pattern repeating. Each contest is fierce, a rapid fire exchange that builds on the tension of the first.

After their intense series of battles, X looks Chrom in the eye, his usual mischievous smile turning serious. He confesses he couldn't have won alone, his gaze then softening as he looks at his teammates, Bird, Multi, and Hajime. Chrom, in turn, recognizes his own support system. A quiet, shared understanding passes between them, solidifying their rivalry but also their profound connection. Chrom vows to win someday, not as a lone wolf, but with newfound resolve.

The episode closes with glimpses of future events, primarily focusing on Bird's renewed determination and impending challenges. He is seen launching his Beyblade with fervor, clashing fiercely, and looking resolute. Brief shots of Chrom, Multi, Hajime, Nain, and Giga, some worried, some determined, hint at a new chapter. The mysterious man also reappears, suggesting his influence is not entirely gone.
