Episode Context

Following Episode 39's introduction of Lord En into the human world and the complications that come with demon royalty crossing over, Episode 40 deepens those tensions by introducing formidable new antagonists tied to the expanding demon-world conflict. This episode sits at the two-thirds point of the series' 60-episode run, firmly in the territory where stakes climb and alliances are tested. It sets the stage for the confrontations and power dynamics that will define the arc's coming episodes.
