Instead of a standard tournament battle, this episode offers something completely different. Watching Misaki face a unique challenge keeps things fresh, while several funny moments involving the Angelic Layer developers make the episode especially memorable. It also reveals a little more about the people behind the game, giving the story extra depth without slowing the pace.

From the very beginning up to this episode, I’ve really loved Misaki’s attitude during battles. She always manages to remind her opponents of something important while they’re fighting, and I think that’s one of the things that makes her such a great character. The series is still just as enjoyable to watch, and I’m having a great time with it.
