Episode Context

Coming off 'The Bloodsucking Seductress,' which cracked the already fragile truce between the Kouga and Iga wide open, episode 8 escalates the hostilities to a point of no return and forces key players into desperate positions. Sitting at the one-third mark of the 24-episode run, this is a critical bridge episode that deepens personal stakes and character entanglements before leading directly into 'Farewell,' where the consequences of these escalations begin to land in full.
