Beautiful. Classic. I have never found an anime this soothing before. Maybe because it's mature, it really reflects everyday life.

The animation style is so warm and inviting 🥃 The way light hits the glassware is gorgeous. Ryu's quiet confidence is captivating. The hotel staff's search is funny. This show is gonna be a cozy comfort watch for sure.

Episode Context

As the first of twelve episodes, 'A Gentle Perch' is purely foundational, it introduces the core cast of Ryuu, Miwa, and Yukari while establishing the series' central pursuit of the legendary 'Glass of God.' The premiere sets the emotional and thematic framework for the episodic character-driven stories to come, where patrons bring their personal struggles to Eden Hall. Everything that follows builds on the quiet philosophy and character dynamics laid down here.
