Love the anime but viola makes me puke

Episode Context

Episode 4 pumps the brakes on Mewtype's forward momentum and trades band-building energy for something quieter and more unsteady. The focus shifts toward Arale, Ritsu, and Viola, pulling at emotional threads that earlier episodes left deliberately loose. Conversations carry weight here, and the pacing is intentionally slow-burn, giving space to unspoken feelings and the kind of tension that builds between people with complicated history. This is not a performance episode or a milestone moment. It is the show asking what lies underneath the group's surface-level progress, and letting that question sit uncomfortably. Fans who respond to character-driven drama and restrained emotional storytelling will find this one rewarding. Those expecting lively idol-band energy should know the tone runs noticeably cooler and more introspective throughout.
