READTHROUGH
The Fading Numbers
The episode opens on a stark, cylindrical tower, ominous against a swirling purple sky. Kasumi Toyama's panicked voice echoes, a flash of lightning illuminating the structure before a chilling blue skull icon flickers on a monitor. The counter drops, ten participants becoming nine, signaling another 'elimination.' The atmosphere is immediately thick with a sense of dread, setting a grim stage for what seems to be a desperate fight for survival.
Arisa's Return, The Others' Fear
A heavy stone door grinds open, revealing Arisa Ichigaya, disheveled and tearful, clutching her arm as she steps into the dimly lit chamber. The remaining girls, including Sayo Hikawa, Mashiro Kurata, Chu2, Rui Yashio, Ran Mitake, and Kokoro Tsurumaki, look on with weary anxiety, their small forms huddled together. Sayo expresses relief at Arisa's survival, but her face remains strained, while Rui calmly notes the dwindling numbers. Mashiro weeps, comforted by Pareo, and Chu2 glares with indignation, vowing retribution if the 'eliminated' are not truly safe.
The Cruel Joke
Suddenly, the giant monitor, which had tracked their grim progress, flashes a bright, triumphant 'Congratulations!' in both English and Japanese. The girls stare in stunned confusion, the sudden shift in tone utterly disorienting. Kasumi Toyama, her face a mask of anger and exhaustion, steps forward and shouts at the screen, demanding answers. The monitor then scrolls through a lengthy explanation, revealing that their harrowing 'survival game' was merely a selection process for a 'New Key Visual,' and all 'eliminated' participants were sent safely home.
A Screaming End
The camera cuts back to the exterior of the towering structure as Kasumi's final, lingering scream of 'You should have said that sooner!' echoes into the distance. Her voice fades, signaling the end of the absurd ordeal. The episode then transitions into a rapid-fire montage for the credits, showcasing the large cast in various lighthearted, comic-book style poses. This sequence offers a celebratory, energetic wrap-up, bringing the series back to its characteristic meta-humor.
