This finale is pure emotional torture. The whole thing feels like sucker-punch after sucker-punch. All we want is for our boy to catch a break -- many (many) tears were shed :(

The debut episode of “Banana Fish” is intense and visually engaging. It quickly tells a serious tone and show complex characters. This episode gives a sense of mystery that lingers, which making it hard not to want to continue right after.

Soft, tragic graphics emphasise the mood. Ash reading Eiji’s letter at the library is the peak moment. i feels eternally scarred in my heart, full of suspense, but a great final episode to enjoy.

UP: The callbacks to Hemingway and Salinger are BEAUTIFUL. The final scene is hauntingly gorgeous. Ash reading Eiji's letter will DESTROY you. DOWN: The ending is controversial - some find it perfect, others heartbreaking. Prepare yourself emotionally. No really. PREPARE. 📚

The epic conclusion of this series. The plan went awry right from the opening, but everyone has to push through. It was intense, the fight between Ash and Foxx was well animated and choerograph. And at the end, we see how everyone are. But that ending is tearjerking and tragic.

The final battle left me drained and emotional. Ash saving everyone felt satisfying and bittersweet, and seeing Ash alone, collapsing, and unsure if he will survive.

The most beautiful and tragic ending ever. It haunts you forever.

If you ever need a good cry, I always recommend Banana Fish. Perfectly paced for its melancholic story, it still manages to bring its characters through major self-reflection, allowing for a persistent message of hope, even if the road is unforgiving.

Its not really my type of anime but I watched the whole thing and thought its decent.

100% recommend to ANYONE to watch this anime!!! It is well done and amazing. I remember being so excited when this anime came out because it one of my personal favorite manga's, so it already held a special place in my heart. 10/10, erase my mind so I can watch it again!!
