I like how this episode took its time to focus on our new characters from different schools. I can feel the deliberate pacing here as we see both the characters' backstories. It was also interesting seeing the Seimei High Dojo here, it was a nice change and a good variety showcasing a different school's environment for the first time. We also get to understand Azuma's reason for avoiding kendo here as well as Mei's peer pressure story.
