Episode Context

As the 24th and final episode of the season, 'The Devil's Payback' arrives on the heels of 'Fighting God, Satan,' where Baki absorbed some of the series' most punishing challenges to date. This climactic confrontation with Dr. Kureha Shinogi serves as a reckoning for everything Baki's journey through the underground arena has built toward. Rather than offering full closure, it positions Baki at a threshold, acknowledging how far he has come while leaving the ceiling of his ambition deliberately open.
