Episode Context

Positioned at episode 15 of 24, 'Slave' arrives directly after a climactic encounter with Yujiro and uses that aftermath as breathing room. Rather than pushing the plot forward through combat, it fills in the emotional and biographical gaps that give Baki's relentless drive its weight. It functions as connective tissue between the season's midpoint confrontation and whatever escalation the final stretch of episodes is building toward.
