Katsumi's training is getting weirder by the minute, and the animation for those joint visualizations is just trippy. The sound design is doing the heavy lifting here, and it makes the mental prep feel genuinely dangerous. The buildup is real 👍

the supersonic punch animation was SMOOTH. the shockwave effect was beautifully rendered. the sound design of the impact was BRUTAL. the slowmo followup was chef's kiss. 💪

Not a filler, but more of a setup episode for the upcoming fight. Even though it is calmer, it builds great anticipation for what is coming next. I can really feel the tension rising as the fighters prepare and the stakes slowly get higher.

Episode Context

Sitting at episode 6 of 27, this marks a deliberate pivot from Pickle's initial clashes with modern fighters, explored in the preceding episodes, to Katsumi Orochi's personal arc of self-improvement. It functions as essential setup for the upcoming 'Moment of the Heat,' where Katsumi's evolved abilities face their ultimate test. This is the calm-before-the-storm entry that the Pickle saga needs to give its next confrontation real stakes.
