This episode was actually really fun to watch. The pacing felt way better compared to the earlier ones, and it didn’t drag as much. I like how it mixed intense moments with some unexpected funny parts—it made everything feel more balanced.

In this episode, it shows how science is awesome and how the past and future meet together. No words can describe how the masterpiece is a chief kiss; it's highly recommended and also makes you think about how strong all the characters are. It's really 10/10.

The comedic timing is spot on, it has the right punch lines and an unrealistically insane level of seriousness. The combination of the voice-over and timing helps it all land even harder.

Episode Context

This is a tone-setter masquerading as a payoff episode. The atmosphere is thick with dread and reverence as the line between cutting-edge science and ancient spiritual force collapses entirely. Pacing is deliberate, almost ceremonial, building pressure through silence and reaction rather than action. Expect psychological weight over combat, as characters like Baki Hanma, Yujiro, and Kaoru Hanayama register the magnitude of what Mitsunari Tokugawa has unleashed. The presence of Miyamoto Musashi commands every frame without needing to throw a single punch. This is the kind of episode where atmosphere does the heavy lifting, and it earns the tension it projects. Fans who appreciate slow-burn buildup and character-driven dread will find this deeply satisfying. Those watching purely for fights should stay patient, the payoff is being carefully engineered.
